Josh Cassidy raised the octaves of paralympic commentators multiple times during his Men's 5000m wheelchair race final this morning. Cassidy impressively came from behind to lead the head of the pack with three laps of the race to go.

However, Thai racer Prawat Wahoram ended up clinching first place with a time of 11:01:7, after Cassidy was forced back into the pack, with competitors from Switzerland and Australia finishing second and third. Cassidy finished with a time of 11:09:42.

In semi-finals Cassidy placed seventh, in his 5000m heat September 9, with a time of 10:27:94.
