Josh Cassidy is one race closer to achieving his goal at winning Gold in the Rio Paralympics. Cassidy placed seventh in his heat in the 5000m (12 laps) with a time of 10:27:94, which qualified him for the 5000m wheelchair race final on Sunday, September 11 at 9:15 a.m ET (10:15 p.m. ET Victory Ceremony).

Following Sunday’s race, Cassidy will compete in the following races:
Monday, September 12, 4:55 p.m. ET 1500m Semi-Final
Tuesday, September 13, 5:15 p.m. ET 1500m Final (6:30 p.m. ET Victory Ceremony)
Wednesday, September 14, 6:00 p.m. ET 800m Semi-Final
Thursday September 15, 11 a.m. 800m Final (12 p.m. ET Victory Ceremony)
