Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) is hosting a series of three essential job preparation workshops at four of their branches this fall, with support from VPI Working Solutions. This initiative is designed to help community members enhance their job search skills and increase their employment perspectives.
The workshops will cover resume writing, creating a cover letter and interview preparation.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn how to craft a professional resume highlighting their qualifications and experience; discover how to write a compelling cover letter that complements their resume; and gain insights and tips to prepare for job interviews effectively.
"A professional resume is a vital tool in the job-seeking process. It serves as your first introduction to potential employers, effectively communicating your qualifications and experiences, and sets you apart from other candidates," read a September 12 media release from BCPL, adding that the workshops are free of charge and open to all Bruce County residents.
