Hoards of hockey fans packed the Plex in Port Elgin, Saturday February 6 to watch the Toronto Furies take on the Boston Blades in Canadian Women's Hockey League action (CWHL).

The two teams featured many Olympic athletes who came to Saugeen Shores to help celebrate Scotiabank’s Hockey Day in Canada, during the Saugeen Shores Girls Silver Stick Caitlyn Cobean Memorial Tournament.

The match-up was partially filmed for Hockey Day in Canada which was broadcast nationwide on Sportsnet and CBC. The broadcast also featured cut-ins by three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Jennifer Botterill.
