Editor,

In regards to the ongoing debate about the proposed Cedar Crescent Village, I am reminded how fortunate we are.

There aren't many communities that get to squabble over the possible revitalization of one of their many beaches.

Personally, some of my fondest memories are dances at the old Casino, and hitting up the Wednesday night carnival with my friends. The more reasons to go to the beach, and Saugeen Shores in general, the better.

I think a lot of locals are upset because their beach is already too crowded for their liking. Some days it is! That's when I head five minutes up or down the shore to one of our other beaches. Again, aren't we lucky?

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Kerri Gallop,
Saugeen Shores
