In 2023, 65 charitable organizations collectively received over $148,000 through Community Grants for projects that included youth and senior outreach, local festivals, and food security efforts.
Non-profit organizations that are considering applying for a Spring Community Grant are encouraged attend CFGB’s annual Non-Profit Workshop. The workshop will be held March 7 at Sydenham Campus, 1130 8th Street East in Owen Sound and aims to bring together local organizations for education and networking opportunities.
The agenda of this year's workshop will feature information on CFGB’s granting process, using AI to support non-profit work, legislative changes and updates affecting non-profits, and a breakout session to support the challenges the sector is facing including the volunteer crisis.
