Saugeen First Nation Chief and Council are pleased to announce John Domm has accepted the position of Band Administrator for Saugeen First Nation "as we continue to work for a vibrant and healthy nation, united in our vision to build prosperity for all our people," read a recent media release.

Domm, a former Chief of Police, serves as a Governor-in-Council appointed Board Member on the Management Advisory Board for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and serves as a Treasury Board of Canada Appointment on a Departmental Audit Committee.

“Chief and Council are thrilled to have John join our team, he brings great knowledge and experience,” Chief Lester Anoquot said. “I’m really excited about this next step for the community and I can’t wait to see where we can go under John’s leadership," Anoquot added.

"Domm’s hiring comes as our leadership looks to build stronger communication, embark on a strategic plan and organizational structure changes, and, as we continue working to eradicate mental health and addictions issues burdening our community," read the release, adding, "We are building on the renewed energy as we settle into our new Governance Building."

“I’m excited to immerse myself into the organization and help lead the next chapters of success," Domm said.

Domm holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph and his previous work with First Nations as Chief of Police "will be an asset for our community as we move into a flourishing future," read the release.
