Both the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) and the Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) issued a letter to parents and guardians this week.

As directed by the Ministry of Education, in-person learning will return for students on Monday, January 25.

Students in Grades 1 though 12 are now being required to wear a mask while inside the school. Previously masks were only for students in Grades 4 to 12. Masks are also required while students are outside if physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Kindergarten students are also being encouraged to wear masks but it is not required.

Families are being asked to use the self screening protocol every morning before a decision is made to attend school.

In addition, the BWDSB is asking students not to congregate before or after school and said that targeted voluntary COVID-19 testing is being expanded for students, staff, and their respective households. Schools with outbreaks, high case counts, or in high priority communities will be identified by public health.
