The Port Elgin BIA has announced the return of the Port Elgin Farmers' Market for the 2021 summer season.
In a January 18 media release, the weekly market is set to resume on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Coulter Parkette in downtown Port Elgin, and will run each subsequent Wednesday through September 1, on the condition there are no Public Health orders in place that would prohibit the operation of the market.
“The market has become a staple in our downtown, we’re excited to see it return this summer,” said Chair Addison Ziegler.
The market offers a mix of farm fresh and artisan goods, complementing the retail and restaurants provided by BIA member businesses in Port Elgin’s downtown core.
The market will follow all Public Health guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety; measures will be communicated to vendors and the public this spring.
“The health and safety of both our vendors and patrons is of the highest priority and we committed to working with Public Health and the municipality to ensure we are offering the safest experience possible,” said Ziegler.
Interested vendors can access the application form on the Port Elgin Farmers Market Facebook page, or by emailing portelginbia@gmail.com.
