The annual Canadian Big Band Celebration (CBBC) held in September not only brought dancers to their feet for the annual event but also raised funds for local musicians. On November 28, representatives from the CBBC presented $500 to the Saugeen District Secondary School music program.

Music teacher Kerrie Lynn Boys, who was grateful for the donation, said the funds would go towards Kiwanis Music Festival entry fees and new scores for the students to play.
