Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, June 5, the Town of Saugeen Shores reported that at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday morning a call had been received by 911 dispatch indicating that a bomb was in a vehicle in the parking lot of GC Huston Public School in Southampton.
Saugeen Shores Police and Saugeen Shores Fire responded and remain on the scene where an investigation is ongoing. GC Huston Public School, Bruce County Museum, and homes on the west side of Victoria Street have been evacuated and the perimeter is secure.
Saugeen Shores Police Service is waiting on assistance from the OPP.
Fire Chief Phil Eagleson could not comment if there was any connection to other recent bomb threats within the Bluewater District School Board.
