Since it was announced that Saugeen Shores would raise the Pride flag the first week of Pride month, June 2018, a group of interested community members and volunteers have been working out the details of the first annual Saugeen Shores Pride event.

The community is invited to come out and celebrate diversity in Saugeen Shores at noon on Friday, June 1 when the official flag raising ceremony will take place in front of Saugeen Shores Police Services, 620 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin, followed by a barbecue and cake.

Saugeen District Secondary School’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will provide rainbow coloured cookies.
