Twenty-two vendors filled the Rotary Hall at the Plex in Port Elgin to promote and inspire potential volunteers in the Bruce and Grey area, during the second annual Volunteer Fair May 2.
Town of Saugeen Shores Community Services Administrative Assistant and organizer Colleen Dostle said there was a lot of interest from community groups to participate in this year’s Fair.
“There are numerous organizations that depend on volunteers to deliver their services and volunteerism seems to be at low-cycle right now so we’re looking to assist the community organizations,” said Dostle.
“There are volunteers that are looking for things to do and may not know where to find all of these organizations so it’s a one stop shop and it’s a great opportunity for the community organizations to network amongst themselves,” she added.
Organizations that took part in the Volunteer Fair included:
Friends of McGregor Park
