Southampton celebrated its annual tree lighting with cheer, singing, dancing and hot coco during its annual ceremony and Southampton Sparkles November 23.
Town Crier, Saugeen Shores Councillor Neil Menage, got things started in character before passing the torch to the award winning dancers from Celtic Academy Canada who performed four routines for the attending crowd.
Actors from Sandcastle Theatre’s Potter the Panto performed B.O.B.’s “I Got the Magic in Me”, before Mayor Mike Smith commandeered a few helpers to flip the ceremonial switch that would light up the Christmas tree.
The tree had recently been decorated by G.C. Huston students.
Chantry singers bundled up against the cold performed beloved Christmas carols.
