The Club at Westlinks has announced that Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Sandra Post has been named spokesperson for the golf development.
In a February 14 press release, formerly known as Piper’s Glen Golf Club, The Club at Westlinks is a 12-hole golf course with four sets of tees offering six, nine and 12-hole rounds. The club is still able to provide an 18 hole round by replaying the first six holes from alternate tee decks.
Post, an eight time winner on the LPGA Tour, including the 1968 LPGA Championship said, “I am looking forward to spending time at the link style, 12-hole golf course which is a lot of fun to play. The course is easy to walk, has a good driving range and a friendly staff."
The golf course is located within The Westlinks development, touted as a “front porch community”, which is to be built starting later this year. The development offers bungalow-style town homes, single family homes and low-rise condominiums. Rice Development Corp. out of Brampton has specialized in adult lifestyle communities across southern Ontario and will demonstrate their expertise through The Westlinks Development.
When asked about the partnership, Post replied, "This is a great opportunity for me to work with Westlinks to conduct clinics, help local charities with their golf tournaments and watch this development grow.”
