Two Saugeen Shores youth are hosting a family fundraiser over the holidays in support of the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario. Through various events in recent years, organized by Aurora Jacob, age 12; and Sarah Sollors, age 15, have so far raised $4,000 for the London facility.
From a December 15 media release, Liz Sollors on behalf of the Sollors and Jacobi families said, “It is a fantastic facility that does all that it can to ensure that families are comfortable and well cared for in times of crisis.”
“Having close family ties to the house, we decided that raising money to help other families in need would be a great way to show our support and our appreciation for Ronald McDonald House.” She continued. “We know firsthand how much of a difference these funds make to the facility and to the families who stay there...”
Everyone is invited to join in on the Family Swim at Centennial Pool on Tuesday, December 27 from 1 to 2 p.m. Admission is by donation and if you don’t swim you can still show your support by making a donation or visiting the bake sale or raffle table.
