Proceeds from Southampton’s Summer Shindig and Color Dash, held in August, were donated back to the community November 24. Shindig organizer, Saugeen Shores Councillor Don Matheson, presented $4,500 to G.C. Huston staff towards the public school’s new outdoor track.

Matheson said that from the proceeds, $2,500 came from the Color Dash and $2,000 was donated from the Shindig. G.C. Huston Principal Dan Russell said they’re already planning a Color Dash in 2017 that will be co-hosted with Saugeen First Nation.
