With rain tipping down, crowds still gathered to see Santa and the many members of the community who braved the weather to march and float down Goderich Street during the Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade November 26.
The event, organized by the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce, saw over 40 entries take to the streets to bring holiday cheer and try their hand at enacting this year’s theme of “White Christmas”.

The Chantry Island Cham-bettes, dressed as snowflakes, danced down Goderich Street during the Santa Claus Parade November 26.
Dancers from SB Dance Academy had the largest presence in the Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade.
Rudolf rode a Hydro-Bike on the Family Tide Rentals float during the Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade.
The Main Event’s Balloon Penguin was a crowd favourite.
Princess Leia traded in her lightsaber for an umbrella as she rode on the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Light the way float during the Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade
Heather’s Poodle Care Pokemon got extra points as they walked the parade with the furry friends and won best live animal entry.
Saugeen Shores Councillor Dave Myette stayed dry in the Saugeen Shores Trolley during the Port Elgin Santa Claus Parade November 26.
