The Town of Saugeen Shores has finalized a date and time for the promised public information night to provide members of the community with an opportunity to gather information and provide input on the Port Elgin Splash Pad project.

In a November 16 media release, the information session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30 at the Plex and is open to all residents of Saugeen Shores. The evening will provide an opportunity for the public to rotate between a variety of information stations and ask questions.
Saugeen Shores Council approved, in principle, the splash pad in its proposed North Shore Park location last June and has since been met with some opposition.

“The goal of the evening is to provide residents with a clear understanding of the project as well as a platform to provide input,” said Jayne Jagelewski, Director of Community Services. “The facilitator will be collecting that feedback for Council to review.”
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rotary Hall, upstairs at the Plex, 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin.
