OPP full crashOn Saturday night, March 19 at 7:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 40 and Highway 21 in Saugeen Township.

From a March 19 media release, officers arrived with Bruce Paramedic Services, Saugeen Shores Fire Department and members of the Saugeen Shores Police Service to find a blue Chevrolet Cavalier and a white Dodge Caravan involved in the crash.

The driver of the Cavalier was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A passenger from the Caravan was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance for treatment of life threatening injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit assisted the South Bruce OPP with this incident.

Sections of Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 40 remained closed until the early morning of March 20.
