Dr. Eli Maor, historian of mathematics and author of several books including To Infinity and Beyond: A Cultural History of the Infinite, The Pythagorean Theorem: A 4,000-Year History, Trigonometric Delights and Venus in Transit, is set to visit the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre on Monday, August 31 for Infinities Where You Least Expect to Find Them.
In a press release from the Museum: “Originally from Israel, Dr. Maor is one of the world’s leading experts on the relationship of music and art to mathematics. His enthusiasm for the mysteries of the world will carry you through a rich panorama and cultural history of the infinite.”
