The Power Workers’ Union (PWU) donated $60,000 towards The Hospital Campaign Thursday bringing the total for the Southampton ER/Lab Expansion Project to $3.2 million.
“It’s just amazing,” said Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Sally Kidson, close to tears. “This contribution means that we will be honouring the Power Workers’ Union by naming a trauma room in the new Emergency Room.”
Foundation Chair Jim Barbour thanked the group for their donation. “It’s wonderful to have the support of this organization,” he said, adding that the PWU’s total gift for the campaign was $110,000.
Bruce Power’s Linda Crombeen said, “The PWU is always supportive of ensuring that we have excellent health care in our community for all to enjoy.”
