The Town of Saugeen Shores hosted Art on the Promenade on Sunday, July 26th, at the Port Elgin Main Beach, where artists displayed their wares.
“We have so many talented individuals in our area,” said Heather Lorenz, Recreation Programs Supervisor with the Town of Saugeen Shores. “We want to encourage them to share their creative work with the community.”
A wide array of artists had their work on display and for sale, from paintings to stained glass to jewellery. The event was free for visitors, providing an opportunity for people of all ages to immerse themselves in the arts.
“We've been here since one and it's been a pretty good crowd,” said local artist, Kristen Holloway of Roar by Rex.
The event was complimented by the Sunday Bandshell concert at the Emmett McGrath Pavilion which got underway at 7pm with The Marla's taking the stage to perform rock, folk and country music.
