One of the last hurrahs celebrating 150 years since Canada’s confederacy was celebrated twice on the ice of Southampton Coliseum December 10. The skating event which was dubbed “the coolest skating party of the year” was hosted by the Canadian Martial Arts Centre (CMAC) and coincided with skating parties across the country.
CMAC baked some tasty treats for those who packed the ice to purchase as a way to fundraise for training equipment for their new facility above Cora Computers at 582 Hepner Crescent in Port Elgin.
Many enjoyed the first of two free skates hosted by the Canadian Martial Arts Centre (CMAC) to celebrating Skating Day, December 10.
Manning the bake sale, representing CMAC and showcasing their Canadian spirit were Joscelyne Atchison, Stacy Kremer, Jessica McCandless and Linda Hodkin, at the Southampton Coliseum December 10.
People weren't long diving into the celebratory cake.
