The 48th annual Southampton Craft Show is set to showcase thousands of crafts with over 140 indoor and outdoor Vendors on Thursday, July 6 at the Southampton Coliseum from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Brenda Murray, Vendor Coordinator for the show said that the show is a major fundraiser for PRANCE (Pegasus Riding Association Nurturing Challenged Equestrians). “We encourage people to make a day of it or to drop in after work for your one stop shopping,” she said.

For the fourth year, organizers are pleased to offer free shuttle service from Port Elgin to the show. Pick up and drop off locations are at the south end of the Giant Tiger plaza, the Missionary Church, Green Street across from the municipal parking lot, St. Joseph’s Church on Wellington Street and The Plex. The shuttle will run hourly beginning at 10 a.m. with the last pick up from the show to head back to Port Elgin at 7 p.m.

Highlights of the show include over 140 artists and artisans from all over Ontario showcasing everything from pottery, jewellery and paintings to gourmet food, sewing, fine wood working, toys, games, books and so much more. There is ATM on site and a food court will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers say the homemade pie is not be missed.

Admission is $4 with children under 12 admitted for free with a 50/50 draw being the winner being drawn at 7 p.m.

PRANCE is dedicated to the growth and development of people with physical, emotional or developmental challenges and does so through volunteerism and community partnerships. Their mandate is to work in conjunction with health care providers to assist in rehabilitation and social development.
