This year's instalment of the Museum Mixer on October 1 goes beyond encouraging guests to mingle throughout the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre after hours. Beginning at 7pm, attendees will be encouraged to dabble in multi-medium art activities and take in demonstrations. Clay sculpting, water colour painting, and printmaking are just a few of the highlights local artists will be showcasing.
“We are excited to take this event to a whole other level,” said Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre Program Coordinator Nancy White. “Everyone will get to take part in creating a collaborative art piece, to be auctioned off at the end of the evening. Proceeds will be shared between the museum and the Southampton Art School.”
With a paintbrush in one hand, and a craft beer in the other, guests will also sample MacLean’s Ales. The evening includes a cash bar, appetizers and a unique after-hours exploration of the museum. Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is pleased to welcome Bruce Telecom as the proud sponsor of this event. “We value our ongoing partnership with the Bruce County Museum and are delighted to sponsor the After Hours Museum Mixer once again. The museum’s planning teams always do an amazing job bringing innovation and creativity to each mixer, making them an educational and entertaining experience for their guests,” said Danica Chinnick, Bruce Telecom Marketing Coordinator.
