It’s time again for two of the most popular fall events at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. On September 25, a beer tasting will be held, closely followed by a scotch tasting on October 23. Each event features door prizes, food pairings and entertaining presenters. When analyzing either, you can't just swill a glass down and say whether it’s great or not. Tasting is an art and with some guidance from our guest presenters, your enjoyment of beer or Scotch will be taken to a higher level.
Brews & Bites will be held September 25 at 7:30 p.m. Guests will be joined by Crystal Luxmore, a certified Cicerone, Prud’homme Beer Sommelier, Beer Judge and journalist. Luxmore will lead those in attendance through a greeting brew, five Ontario craft brews along with the pairing of cheeses from Pine River Cheese.
Scotch: A Guided Tasting will be held October 23, 7:30 p.m. A piper and a wee dram of Scotch welcome guests to this year’s event. Macallan Brand Ambassador Nicolas Villalon will present five quality Scotch whiskies for tasting along with canapés to enhance the drinks. Tables of six may be reserved and the wearing of kilts is encouraged!
Once again, the BCM&CC is pleased to welcome Meridian Credit Union, Port Elgin as the sponsor of both events. Tickets are available at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, while quantities last.
