The Centennial Pool will reopen to the public beginning September 21, 2020. Users will see a gradual approach to opening and all programs will have a reduced capacity to maintain physical distancing requirements.
In a September 16 media release from the Town of Saugeen Shores, the most significant change patrons will experience is that all programs, including lane swims and Aquafit, must now be pre-booked. Registration can be completed online at SaugeenShores.ca/Register or by calling 519-832-2008 x131. No walk-ins will be permitted at the pool.
The public can visit SaugeenShores.ca/Pool to review the Town’s new COVID-19 protocols including where to enter the facility, when to arrive, screening information, how to set up an online account to register, and program schedules.
Users are encouraged to watch the new pool reopening video, available at https://youtu.be/KbIMOcr8SHE, which shows patrons what to expect when they visit.
“Aquatics staff are excited to welcome users back to the pool. We can all help this reopening by showing patience and understanding as we adjust to the new protocols,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.
