G.C. Huston’s annual Stanley Pot Championship saw teams G.C. Grey’s and Litt Name take it to the street April 21 during the school’s Super Sports Fan Day. After over an hour of play the game was tied 3-3 and will conclude on Monday, April 24.

Street hockey in its finest form was showcased during G.C. Huston Public School’s annual Stanley Pot Championship April 21. The annual event took place on the street in front of the Southampton School where students dressed in their hockey best, waved signs and enjoyed a few hot dogs while players from teams Litt Name and the G.C. Greys faced off during the hour long match-up that went into overtime.
The teams were evenly matched and in the end Principal Dan Russell called the game at 3-3 as the road would need to be cleared for the end of the school day.
Litt Name and the G.C. Greys will face-off Monday, April 24 during lunch to see who will win the Stanley Pot.
The Huston Hawks were lively sports fans during the Stanley Pot Championship game April 21 in front of the Southampton school.
