It's a familiar story for the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, who couldn't find a way to get a win in Palmerston.
They fell 3-1 to the Mapleton-Minto 81's on Saturday night, prolonging a nearly four-year old winless streak in Palmerston that dates back to January 22, 2012.
Chris King got the Winterhawks on the board in the 1st period, while the 81's also put a single on the board in the opening frame.
Mapleton-Minto took the lead in the 2nd period, then added a goal on a 5-on-3 powerplay late in the 3rd, while the Winterhawks couldn't find the net again.
The loss snaps a four-game winning streak and drops the Winterhawks to 5-5-0 on the season, which keeps them in 4th place in the North Division.
A chance for revenge will come quickly for the Winterhawks, who will host the 81's next Saturday night, December 5th, at 8:00 p.m. at The Plex.
