Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Pretty in Pink Team we would like to sincerely thank everyone in our community for their generous support over the last eight years.

What started as a simple project of “giving back”, after Sylvia had breast cancer, turned into anticipated annual events. The support of our sponsors, businesses that donated prizes and the enthusiasm of our attendees has always been the inspiration for us to keep going.

Only because we had all that support we have been able to have so many great events:
• 6 ladies Luncheons
• 4 ladies Golf Tournaments
• 3 5K YOUR WAY Fun Runs
• 2 Zumba Parties in Pink
• 2 Fashion nights in Southampton
• 1 evening of Food, Fashion and Music
• 1 Gala Masked Ball

The result has been $34,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and $60,000 towards two new mammography machines at our Regional Hospital. To date we have raised $80,000 towards our pledge of $100,000 for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation for Cancer Care. With this community’s support we will reach our goal this year.

So how can everyone help us to keep our health care close to home? Please sponsor, donate or participate in our last three events.

Our last Ladies Golf Tournament All Pinked Out - One Last Time on the Greens will be held on Friday, June 17 at Saugeen Golf Club. Registration forms at Infinite Lingerie and Active Wear, Southampton.

The Grand Finale, which will also close out the Hospital Campaign, will be a fun event with great food, entertainment and dancing to celebrate this amazing community in which we live. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, September 3 and join us dressed in your finest denim and lots of bling at Denim and Diamonds.
