Giving Tuesday was November 30 and in addition to their recent $40,000 donation to area toy drives and hamper programs, Bruce Power and its suppliers also contributed to school breakfast programs, women's shelters and child and family services in Bruce Grey and Huron-Perth, bringing their cumulative total to $185,000.
In a November 29 media release, the Supplier Sponsorship Program provided $40,000 to breakfast programs and women's shelters in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties with Bruce Power adding $16,000 to this initiative.
In addition, Bruce Power’s Community Investment Fund donated $2,000 each to 38 area food banks, while also providing $11,000 in warm winter clothing to Bruce Grey Child and Family Services and Huron-Perth Children’s Aid.
