Bruce Grey Child and Family Services (BGCFS), in partnership with the Georgian Bay Centre for the Arts (GBArts), will be providing children and youth between the ages of 5 through 15 with a craft box full of fun activities to keep them busy and inspired over March Break, happening April 12 to 16.

A total of 500 craft boxes will be distributed to children living in care or with kin as well as families who are receiving service from BGCFS and will include a variety of activities that are age appropriate and will promote health, art science and physical exercise. The boxes will be distributed by the end of the day on April 1.

Included with the craft boxes is a link to a video on the GBArts website for kids to access if they have any questions about any of the activities included in the craft box.

"The continuous demands of parenting can take a toll on peoples’ mental health. Many families in our community struggle with other serious challenges – children with special needs, poverty, food insecurity, mental health, addiction problems and housing instability," read the release. "Our goal is to support parents to be safe and effective parents and for kids to have the best school break possible. Our hope is that everyone will get through this pandemic safely and successfully."
