The Chantry Island Cham-bettes had the Southampton Boat House jam packed with treasures ready to find a new home on Saturday, May 18. The Cham-bettes' annual Spring Garage Sale sold items by donations and collected funds that they will put back into the local community.
“There was a line-up outside before we even had the door open,” said former Cham-bette President Connie Moss who greeted customers as they circulated in and out of the Boat House.
Streams of cottagers and locals kept the the venue bustling all morning while they searched through kitchenware, home decor, furniture, books, sports equipment and much more. The volunteers, identifiable by their blue aprons, collected donations, shared some laughs and graciously thanked everyone for their support.
