bgcdsb awards

A total of 26 students, two from each of the 13 schools under the Catholic board, were recognized as part of the annual event.

Two St Joseph's students were recognized earlier this month for their ongoing contributions to their school communities.

Sabra Cannon and Nadia Szulist were part of Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board's (BGCDSB) annual Applause Breakfast Awards held May 8 in Chesley.

"The ultimate success of our educational system is dependent upon students, parents, staff and our community partners," read a May 6 BGCDSB media release.

"We believe that it is important to recognize those students whose presence and actions are foundational to our success," continued the release, "[those] who are willing to let their light shine before others."

With their parents, principals, staff members and administration in attendance, two students from each of the 13 schools under the BGCDSB were recognized "for exemplifying virtues and through their actions, contribution to the Catholic culture of deep caring."
