The Bruce Peninsula OPP attended a residential fire on Kewageshig Street in Saugeen First Nation January 1 shortly after 8:30 a.m.

In a Bruce Peninsula OPP media release, the Saugeen First Nation Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.

The fire has been deemed suspicious.

The Grey County Crime Unit (GCCU) and South Bruce Crime Unit (SBCU) are assisting the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office with the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.
