Southampton Sparkles continues with a month of Festive Fridays from November 30 to December 21 with events and many downtown merchants open late for your shopping convenience.

Friday, December 14 will be an extra special Festive Friday with events including free horse-drawn carriage rides from 3 to 7 p.m. sponsored by the Southampton Olive Oil Company. Pick up and drop off will be downtown Southampton, weather permitting, and the horse-drawn carriage will take participants around Southampton.

Stores will be open late with participating retailers offering special events, demonstrations and promotions.

Keep an eye out in downtown Southampton for our special guests from the Southampton Pet Hospital.

Festive Friday at the Museum will also take place December 14. Drop the kids off at the Museum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. while you get some holiday shopping done for some bordome busting winter creativity.

Children ages 5 to 10 can embrace their inner artist as they make some beautiful, winter-inspired creations. The cost is $5 for members, $8 for non-members. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required as space is limited.

On November 30 at 7 p.m. check out the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade downtown Southampton. Arrive early for the Southampton Library’s Welcome to Whoville event from 5 to 6:45 p.m. for pre-parade crafts and activities.
