The Town of Saugeen Shore expects the new traffic lights at Devonshire Road and Goderich Street, just south of Rowland's in Port Elgin, to be activated some time Thursday, November 22.

In a Town of Saugeen Shores media release, motorists are reminded to pay attention to the roads, obey the new signals and be patient with one another as all drivers become accustomed to the new controls.

Motorists will be able to turn onto the highway from Devonshire Road more easily, and likewise turning left onto Devonshire will be easier as there will be an advanced green for northbound and southbound vehicles.

This intersection will also be the access point to the new Holiday Inn Express when it is built, as well as the new homes within the Summerside and Northport Meadows subdivisions.
