With the help of local businesses, students at St Joseph's School in Port Elgin took to the catwalk in style for their Dress to Impress Fashion Show March 28, a fundrasier for their Grade 8 graduation ceremony.
Modelling clothes donated for the evening by Bicyclette Rouge Children's Boutique and Casual Corners of Port Elgin as well as Brenda's Bridal Boutique of Tara, students showcased casual and formal wear to family and friends in attendance.
Gift baskets donated from Saugeen Shores’ The Cabana and Sonas Hair Salon were also raffled off.
Approximately $800 was raised from the evening fundraiser and St Joseph's teacher Mary Jane Hewitt said that the money would go to cover costs pertaining to the student’s awards ceremony. “Awards, decorations and any food the kids want,” she said.
Grade 8 students Maisie, Madi, and Megan were ready to show off their outfits from Port Elgin's Casual Corners.
