Three community events received funding from Ontario Power Generation (OPG) March 14, totalling $1,650. Representatives from the Senior Games, BRASS Awards and summer bandshell concerts were happy to accept the contribution from OPG representative Lynda Cain.

Ontario Power Generation will be sponsoring the Excellence in Skilled Trade Award at the 2018 BRASS Awards, hosted by the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce and held at the Saugeen Golf Club, and presented $350 to Chamber representative Carla Pepe.

The upcoming Saugeen Shores Senior Games, happening from the first week in April until the long weekend in May, received $500 for prizes; and The Town of Saugeen Shores received $800 for two concerts. The concert series occur every Sunday evening throughout the summer months at both Fairy Lake in Southampton and the Port Elgin Main Beach.

“OPG is really pleased to be able to help out Saugeen Shores with all of their events. It makes the community a better place to live for the people who live here and play here,” said Cain March 14.
