The Saugeen Shores firefighters brought their heat to the kitchen May 27 as they hosted a by-donation breakfast for the community at the Port Elgin Fire Hall. Over 20 volunteers pitched in at the event that saw food donated by UNIFOR fill many hungry bellies.

The money raised from the event will go towards vintage fire truck upkeep as the vehicles will be on display at various events around the community and will be located at a new parking spot at the Southampton Fire Hall to match the esthetic of the new firefighting themed splash pad currently under construction next door.
