The Town of Saugeen Shores is seeking public input regarding the notion of twinning the Southampton Town Hall with the Southampton Library and as such is inviting members of the public to attend a public input session on Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall.
The session will: include a summary of the functional elements, discuss precedents of similar projects with varying approaches, and establish a consolidated approach for the direction of the conceptual design. The Town of Saugeen Shores and the Southampton Town Hall Ad Hoc Committee are working with the consulting firm 3stones architecture+design, to gather information and public comment prior to conceptual design.
“The goal is to come away from the evening with a clear understanding of what the public as a whole is looking for so that these concerns may be appropriately addressed in the conceptual designs,” said Jayne Jagelewski, Director of Community Services with the Town of Saugeen Shores, in a May 23 news release.
A further public information session will be scheduled at a later date with an opportunity to review the draft conceptual design and provide feedback.
Residents and visitors who are unable to attend will have the opportunity to provide feedback online following the meeting.
It is anticipated that the final presentation will be presented to Council in early fall.
