Students from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties can now apply for post-secondary scholarships as part of Bruce Power’s annual Scholarship Program.

Once again, Bruce Power will award $500 to 100 applicants who are pursuing post-secondary education or a trade, for a total of $50,000 in scholarships. The 100 recipients will fall into four different categories, including university (40), college/skilled trades (35), self-identified as Indigenous, a visible minority or who lives with a disability (15), and special considerations (10).

All applicants for the seventh annual Scholarship Program must read the eligibility requirements outlining the requirements, and then complete the online form at www.brucepower.com/in-the-community/scholarships/post-secondary-school.

Bruce Power has also opened applications for its third annual Indigenous Scholarship for Post-secondary Education Beyond First Year. Through 2019, Bruce Power will award $2,000 to 10 students from our local Indigenous communities of Saugeen and Nawash First Nations, Historic Saugeen Métis and Region 7 of the Métis Nation of Ontario.

Applications for both post-secondary scholarships are due by June 21.

Bruce Power will also award thousands in elementary and secondary school awards across Bruce, Grey and Huron for Grade 8 and Grade 12 graduates.
