From hand-me-downs to entrepreneurial accessories the Mom2Mom Sale at the Plex May 6 was a busy site, a place for young families to find deals, handy items and, for some, the perfect toy.

Organized as a fundraiser for Kids Street Co-Operative Nursery School, all told the event raised $1,100.

Organizer and vendor Stephanie Carr said the Mom2Mom Sale has been helping moms find needed items for at least seven years. “I think people are wanting to get rid of all that baby stuff and there’s a lot of families that are coming to our community now that are looking for a deal... moms, vendors and I think everyone is looking for that deal,” said Carr, adding that rather than buying something new for $100 or $200, they can buy it second-hand for $10.

The Mom2Mom Sale happens once each spring and fall season, and on May 6 welcomed 35 local vendors.
