Deb McLaren, known as Mrs. Deb by parents & students, has been awarded a Maestro Award achievement by Kindermusik International, the world’s leading publisher of music and movement programs for children newborn to 7 years.

“The Kindermusik Maestro has a mission: helping children become better learners and helping parents understand how to help them reach their highest potential,” said Scott Kinsey, CEO at Kindermusik International.

From a May 7 media release, McLaren joins 300 Maestros identified as the top educators among 5,000 licensed educators in the world who teach Kindermusik’s curricula. McLaren began providing Kindermusik in Saugeen Shores in 2012 and teaches the music and learning program.

“Joy is the number one reason that music is such a powerful motivator for learning. When you have children engaged in an environment of joy and love, you unlock the potential for amazing growth and learning,” said McLaren.

The Maestro Program recognizes licensed Kindermusik educators who master one of two levels in early childhood development: fast-growing programs and outstanding community service.
