Saugeen Shores students take top spots in regional skills challenge

Munn was among more than 100 Bluewater District School Board students to compete in the Challenge and placed second in the Culinary category. Over 100 students from across Bluewater District School Board competed in eight categories at the recent 13th annual Regional Technological Skills Challenge on March 24 with expert judges from a diverse range of trades related industries.

In a March 28 media release, the competition, organized each year by the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), took place at various Owen Sound locations and two students from Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS) took top spots in their respective categories.

Jazmyn Munn received second place in the Culinary division while Colton Heipel took first place in the Electrical Wiring category.
