Saugeen Shores Chief of Police Dan Rivett said that with rapidly changing technology, apps being developed and our children having cell phones at a younger and younger age we need to be cautious. Don’t be afraid of this technology but educate yourself and your children of the downfalls.
Anything you post on the internet or send in a text, be it a photo, video or comment will be out there somewhere forever. As soon as you push send you lose control of where it will go. I remember someone once saying don’t post or send anything on the internet you would not want to see on the front page of a newspaper.
Have these conversations with your children. You are not infringing on their rights, you are protecting them and that is your job as a parent.
