Shoppers Drug Mart Port Elgin raised $1,670 for local women’s health initiatives through its Grow Women’s Health campaign (formerly Tree of Life) and donated the proceeds to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) March 3 to help cover costs of the hospital’s Ultrasound Prob Reprocessing Unit.
The Southampton Hospital received the equipment in November of 2016 at the cost of $25,000.
