Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 edition of the Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame.

The Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame, a Port Elgin Rotary Club initiative, is not a sports-specific Hall of Fame and encourages nominations from all endeavours. Nominees can be athletes, community builders, and teams or organizations.

Nomination forms are available at Lighthouse Restaurant, Kelly Green, Southampton Olive Oil Co., the Southampton Post Office, Ralph's Hi-Way Shopette, Dunlop Fuels and the Plex in Port Elgin.

All nominations must include the nominator’s contact information as well as much pertinent information for the nominee as possible. The nominee does not have to be a current resident of Saugeen Shores but must have lived in the community or been a part of the community at one time.

The Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame selection committee will determine eligibility according to selection criteria. Nominations close on February 28, 2017. The selection process will begin in March. The Hall of Fame induction evening is set for Thursday, May 11 at the Saugeen Shores Community Complex Rotary Hall.
