On Monday November 28, Mrs. Rideout and the Northport Band hosted a music clinic for our new junior players in Grades 5 and 6.
Music experts from our community were invited to come run workshops for our students. After the workshops, our special guests were treated to a wonderful lunch prepared by our very own Lunch Mommas.
Josh Lesperance taught the trombone section, Wayne McGrath lead the trumpets, Scott Irvine boomed with the tubas, MaryLynn MacLean led the clarinets, Cam Porter headed the saxophone section, Monika Spaetzel helped the flute players, John Wills worked with the French horn section, and Tyler Schropp conducted the percussion section.
It was inspiring for our students to work with such great artists.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this a memorable day for our musicians.
